I regard translating and interpreting as more than merely a job. Cross-cultural competence and my professional and technical priorities form an integral part of my professional and personal routine

  • Training at the Munich technical language academy as a translator and interpreter specialising in technology
  • Further training at AKAD University in Stuttgart specialising in economy
  • State examination as a translator in Darmstadt, specialist subject: Business
  • State examination as an interpreter in Darmstadt, specialist subject: Law
  • Authorised and sworn in as a translator and interpreter for English by the Darmstadt Regional Court
  • Member (and board member for several years) of the German professional association BDÜ (Bundesverband der Übersetzer und Dolmetscher e.V.)
  • Qualified member (MITI) of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) in the UK
  • Member of the network for court translators and interpreters, VGDUE, in Frankfurt
  • Founding member of the network www.uebersetzer-darmstadt.de

I update my further training continually (CPD) as regards my working languages (English and German) and specialist fields.
